Tyree Energy Technology Building
Project summary
The transition towards fossil-free energy and achieving net-zero emission is a critical goal for global sustainability. Renewable Power-to-X (PtX) technologies can convert intermittent renewable energies to chemicals and fuels that can be more easily stored and transported. However, some pathways suffer from selectivity, scalability, and stability issues, hinder their industrialization.
The research project aims to design dual atom catalysts and electrolyser systems that can produce various chemicals, especially C2+ products, achieve relatively good selectivity and stability under industrial conditions, and is feasible for commercialization.
